Tex in the Afternoon

We'll be out of town this Saturday, and regrettably unable to cheer on the visiting team when the Professional Bull Riders tour comes to the Querétaro bullring for an afternoon of the rootin'-est, tootin'-est...well, we don't know what it is, exactly. PBR seems to have a very different definition of the word bullfighter, but when we see "USA v Mexico" in a bullring, we really hope it means that cowboys will be trying to stay atop the bull while toreros try to kill it. We're thinking something like this.

Tell us you wouldn't pay 500 pesos for a front row seat to that.

It's too bad you won't get to see this. These bullfighters are the ones with real courage. They are facing bulls that haven't been rendered half dead first, like the ones your adored Matador's "fight".

Anyone can be brave for eight seconds.

That's what Laura said. Sorry I had to go there.

The bullfighters are not the bull riders! Learn the difference.
