A cameraman I know in Alabama told me this joke: Q: What are a redneck's last words? A: "Hey, y'all, watch this!"

MEXICO CITY (Jul 22): Rescue workers are trying to recover the body of a 16-year-old Pennsylvanian who fell a thousand feet to his death at an abandoned mine in central Mexico.

Witnesses tell police that the tourist fell after trying to jump over the ten-foot-wide shaft of the Cinco Senores mine in Guanajuato state Friday.

I'm don't know how long it takes to fall 1,000 feet, but surely it's enough time to revisit one's decision to jump the breadth of a ten-foot wide, thousand-foot deep mine shaft, to ponder a couple of alternate scenarios in which one did not attempt such a stunt and went on to die in one's own bed surrounded by grandchildren, and maybe even to imagine how this will play out in the papers the next day.

I don't know -- 10 feet sounds kind of do-able, you know?

Yeah. "Kind of".
