Fly the Terrifying Skies

This is a newspaper ad for Aeromar, a Puebla-based airline that flies out of Querétaro "International" Airport. Now, is it me, or is that plane actually on fire? Perhaps even in the process of exploding?

Either way, I think I'll walk.

If you remove the "Queretero" from the side of the planes and slap on a swastika, the ad sort of looks like an old "buy war bonds to defeat the nazi menace" poster I have---right down to the flaming planes...

I think that's because most Mexican airlines use repurposed WWII-era German planes.

You know, Frank, this just gives us one more excuse as to why we have yet to visit - it's not safe to fly there!

Oh, you can get here no problem. You just can never leave.

Hmmm, now that I think about it, I'm with you on the no-visit thing.
