The Grey Album

Meet the new kid, a month-and-a-half old chiquita with a penchant for crawling into small, tight spaces (we turned the house upside down looking for her yesterday, only to find her inside the desk drawer - the inch-deep center one you use for pens and post-it notes - we still can't figure out exactly how she got there.)

Laura's changed her mind a dozen times, but I think we've settled on "Lucia," which reminds her of a cat she knew in England, and which allows me to come home every day and bellow, "Lu-u-u-u-u-u-cy, I'm ho-o-o-o-o-o-me!" I am willing state here for the record that that will never get old.

And the perro? He's taking it in stride...

You might want to teach her to swim in case perro decides he needs to exercise his tongue.

Congratulations, Ricky. This is what some of us in Mexico Lite were hoping would occur.

You do it. I'm afraid of winding up on some cutesy-pie mailing list.

Does this mean that when you come for a visit, you will bring both the dog and cat?

No, it means we can't travel anymore. Thanksgiving will be at our house this year. Turkey mole for everyone.
