Off the Pigs

It just ain't Saturday morning without bacon and sausage. Down at the mercado they use only the freshest ingredients:



















In the end, we just bought some chicken instead.

Useless information unless you're auditioning for the Mexican version of Jeopardy:

Carnitas Vicente in Dolores buys 40 of them a week, and yes, we watched the delivery and wondered how much cologne was needed on weekends to mask what must become part of the delivery guys' natural scent, in spite of their protective coverings. We're headed there Tuesday, if you want the best, and it comes with a "tour" of the place that still makes Talavera pottery, etc. the old fashioned way.
