They Were 'round When Jesus Christ Had His Moment of Doubt and Pain

Here's a shot of Querétaro's main Nativity scene (erected on public land at taxpayer expense - MCLU, donde estás?) While this interpretation is no more ridiculous than the notion that Christ looked like Barry Gibb, our Baby Jesus does appear to have been born on a coffee plantation in the Yucatan.

On the other hand, it could just be a Mormon nativity, since they believe that sunny Mexico was Jesus's first stop after the Resurrection. Way back in July we offered a $100 reward to the first campaign reporter who asked Mitt Romney about this, and half a year later watched in stunned silence as no one in the Univision debate even mentioned it. (Memo to Mike Huckabee: Mitt Romney believes Jesus Christ loves Mexicans more than Americans. Hello? Do you even have a research staff?)
