Heart of Gold

We twit him because we love - okay, like - him, but today we extend our heartfelt felicidades to Mike Wallace, as he becomes (we're checking the literature before confirming this) the oldest recipient of a triple bypass in human history.

Wallace, 89, took his first steps yesterday, just two days after undergoing the procedure in Manhattan, reportedly at Lenox Hill Hospital.

Up and walking two days later; it's nice to see the Devil keeping up his end of the bargain.

Get well soon, Jefe. The futon's always available if you're looking for some quiet recovery time.

I'm not entirely sure that "human" history is germane to the event.

But we humans wish the old man a speedy recovery.

I kid, of course. Get well Myron! (He reads Burro Hall right?)
