Live Free or Die, Just Die

Just one more day until the presidential primaries are over! New Hampshire, a state which ordinarily serve no purpose except providing liquor to people from Massachusetts on Sundays, will be choosing our next president for us tomorrow night. Good people. Decent people. White people, as Joe Klein sort of noticed while watching the debates.

I watched tonight's debate with the Frank Luntz focus group at the famed Merrimack Diner... Most of those who came in undecided had switched to Mitt by the end of the show. They just adored his position on illegal immigration (their dials plummeted when McCain said we had to be "humane.")

Well, sure. I mean, God forbid.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but as of the past few years, you can actually buy alcohol in Massachusetts in most communities on Sundays. There goes your final raison d'etre for the northernost of your northern neighbors. So now you can enjoy your not quite pissy Corona on the Lord's Day from Beantown to Petersham.

I knew that - I was just trying to make New Hampshire feel like it had something to offer the country besides a McCain Administration.

Do they still charge an exorbitant toll to drive that 11-mile stretch of highway you have to use to get from Massachusetts and Maine?
