Great Moments in Pirate Video Subtitling, from the climactic "Epiphany" number in Sweeney Todd, as Johnny Depp sings,

"But the work waits! I'm alive at last! And I'm full of joy!

Or, as Mexicans reading along would see it,
"With all my hate. 04:58,307. Hello."

Which doesn't exactly set you up for everything that follows.

Promoting piracy right?

No, posting examples showing how shitty the copies are would seem to be the opposite of promoting piracy, wouldn't it.

Now, when I go to the mercado on Sundays and buy a bunch of these thing, that's supporting piracy, which, again, is somewhat different than promoting it.

I just saw Sweeny Todd at the movies (It was our Valentine's date, I like musicals, he doesn't). Great film, good acting, and I think seeing it once was enough. The subtitles were actually quite good, just a few deviations but nothing egregious. No catchy tunes, no one left the theatre humming the score. Well worth the $35 pesos each.
