Chick Korea

Due to blogging-industry-wide cutbacks, Burro Hall will be shuttering our offices in Seoul a couple of months from now which, sadly, will mean an end to discoveries like this - a poster-sized advertisement for Mexican brand chicken, featuring that most Mexican of all tableaux, a well-dressed salaryman and a preteen farm boy sharing a plate of General Tso's Chicken garnished with lemon wedges and a sprig of mint. ¡Olé!

The thought bubble over the man's head says - in English (of course) and some kind of ancient hieroglyphic language - "If you think of chicken[,] MEXICAN is the best." Conditional tense, no exclamation point...can you get more Zen than that?

Whoa there, pardner, why don't you just step away slowly from this one and leave the Asian-related blogging to a professional? In that spirit, I'll be coming to you soon for a guest post on the "Mexican" restaurants here that serve salmon-roe-and-seaweed enchiladas.

Please do. And I'll do you one on the places here that consider smoked fish, carrots and cream cheese to be essential sushi ingredients.
