Elephants protect their young from predators in this way in Africa. They circle the baby to keep it from being attacked by lions.
Where were the protesters? Those photos were shown all over American television today.
I guess this has nothing to do with the photo, but I can explain. "Earth" -- the new documentary movie from Disney -- narrated by James Earl Jones -- was previewed in Portland last night. The movie is stunning, and opening on April 22, 2009 here in the United States.
I learned a thing or two about the animal world and, by extension, the human animal.
Hey Anonymous, Ellen Kimball's words can't be understood by just reading them. You have to smoke Ellen Kimball's words in the hash pipe of your brain. And if you can't do that, then that's your problem. Not Ellen Kimball's problem.
Thank you for the invitation, but I don't smoke anything.
Addressing the anonymous comments here, I tried to explain in my post. All I did was compare the photo of a circle (or rows) of male British guards surrounding another man. It appears to be for protection, although that was probably not its intention.
I have just seen the new movie "Earth" which shows animals circled to protect their young against attack in Africa. So, that kind of circle is used by other species.
My comment was an allusion to the G-20 meeting and the persons who are protesting the meeting in Great Britain.
Sorry you didn't follow my thought process. Perhaps I was unclear in my description.

What?
no, not what you learned about the human animal and the animal animal. Just - what are you talking about?

Frankly, that's the way this whole blog operates. Please smoke responsibly. Todo con medida.
The stature Calderon projects. It is virtually overwhelming. Little wonder he governs Mexico with such a firm hand. Errrr, that is Calderon, isn't it?

You pay them no mind, Ellen. I knew what you meant. Every time I go to England I feel like I've been trampled by a heard of elephants.
Not to mention the smell.
