Sábado Gigante

* Another example of Mexicans hatin' on Koreans. Not for nothing, but the airport code for Charlottesville, where we spent some time being abused by The Man recently, is "Cho." Coincidence? Perhaps.

* These beheadings are getting out of hand.

* Learn to swear in Mexican.

* Gringo de Mayo y Seis de Mayo.

* Querétaro's finest theater director, Leonard Foglia, has another triumph on his hands! "Fishtar" jokes will cease immediately. For those who can't make it to Dallas, there's a preview snippet here.

* The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) cancels its exchange program with the University of the Failed State of Arizona (UFSA). Arizona: it's not the heat, it's the stupidity.

* No, really, Arizona can't do anything right.

* Obama extends Cinco de Mayo greetings to every Puerto Rican he can think of, including Janet Napolitano.

* America's most popular soccer team speaks Spanish. Meanwhile, contestants for Miss Queretaro will once again be expected to speak English.

Something really wrong on that map. Ephedra and Ephedrine are not the same. Ephedrine is the substance in i.e.Sudafed used to make meth. Ephedra is a plant. Dumb guys. Thanks to the name so close, ephedra is being slandered.

* Good catch, Anon - though one could argue that since ephedra is banned in the US and ephedrine is not, the slander goes the other way.

* Thanks, Daniel.

* I'll join in boycotting everything but Fender. Oh, and Tazer, of course, but that goes without saying.

And I made a mistake, I really meant to say Pseudoephedrine. Ephedrine is not the one they use. That's still from the natural source. The pseudo is what they use for meth.

No!, ephedra is not banned in the U.S.. It is banned in our NY state and some other states, but you can buy it in New Jersey for your shakes before working out. It's like caffeine, but it's dangerous for open air sports during very hot days. Example, this one: http://www.netnutri.com/browse.cfm/4,2284.html?AFF=BASE
