Mexicans Know Their History

One of the local papers debates the legacy of Pancho Villa: hero, bandit, or saint?

We don't pretend to know the answer, but we do know that the guy with the sombrero as big as his mustache is Emiliano Zapata, not Pancho Villa.

Um... I think that's a painting of Pedro Armendáriz, as Villa in one of the three or four films (and the early 1960s TV show) in which he played Villa.

Hmm. It's like casting a guy who looks like Lincoln to play George Washington.

Or, like casting Yul Brenner as Pancho Villa, or Marlon Brando as Zapata. At least Armandárez was a Mexican.
