Welcome to Copyright Infringement Central

Let's face it, if we were interested in truth in advertising, that's what we'd call this site. We reprint excerpts from newspapers, magazines, books and online sources without permission, pluck photos randomly off the internets, doctor images at will (like this, this, this, this, and, of course, these) and, at the same time, generate a considerable amount of original content which we put online for free and make no effort to discourage others from appropriating (see here, for instance).

Which is to say that if we were, again, interested in truth in advertising, the Stop Online Piracy Act would be called the Shut Down Burro Hall Act.  If you live in the US (as most of our readers do) please contact your representatives and tell them, "Burro Hall says fuck that shit." You're welcome to steal that phrase verbatim.  For now.

With all the money the Burro Hall blogging enterprise is making, I'm sure you have an intern on staff to ensure quality control for copyright infringements. Maybe you should fire him?

We have no comment on our revenue. We'll release our tax returns as soon as Romney does.

Congratulations on single-handedly bringing down SOPA. I had no need for Wikipedia yesterday but did check here. Undoubtedly your influential Congressional fans did the same.
