Los Tres Chiflados

With the new Three Stooges movie out this weekend, we bring you their final film: 1959's Sappy Bull Fighters.  Like many washed-up Americans who once had a thriving career in media, the Stooges wound up trolling for cheap laughs in Mexico - or at least a Hollywood sound stage approximation of it.

If for some odd reason you're not a fan of the Joe Besser years (and, to quote the indispensable Dan Barry: "send your letters of outrage to Cahiers du Cinéma magazine, Paris, France"), Sappy Bull Fighters is a reworking of the 1942 Curly classic, What's the Matador?, which you can see here, dubbed in Spanish.

Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk...

....and their great contribution to accurate portrayal of Mexican culture. Still, I can't help laughing at whatever inane thing Curley says or does....
