TX in TX

Outside the restrooms of Pappasito's Cantina in Houston (which is doing an absolutely rollicking business in what appears to be white trash bachelorette parties at 6:00pm on a Wednesday) is this souvenir poster (or reproduction) from a 1968 Juárez bullfight featuring bulls from the Ganaderia Tequisquiapan. Tequisquiapan (abbreviated TX in local newspapers) is a little town in Querétaro about 40 minutes from our offices. We don't have much of a story here, except to say that we were surprised to see this weird but familiar word scrawled outside a men's room wall in Texas - at least without the words "for a good time call..."

The ganaderia by that name still exists, but was moved to Hidalgo 20 years ago.

Went to this charming little town last year for the annual wine and cheese festival. A side trip from Mexico City. Not much cheese but lots of cheesy and still a lot of fun.
