Swinger Scandal Spreads to State Legislature

When we promised you ongoing coverage of the ongoing coverage of Swingergate - the massive scandal in which a handful of private citizens were engaging in private sexytime activities of which the baby Jesus and Plaza de Armas disapproved  - we didn't expect to be writing about this ten days later.  But a promise is a promise, so we soldier on.

So, yesterday, a local PAN legislator made a statement - in the Legislature? In private conversation?  During a Satanic ritual?  The paper doesn't say - in reference to private consenting adult sexytime that boils down, more or less, to: "Hey, whatever."  Most people would have to pad this story out a bit to fill up a Twitter post, but not the PRI's official queretano mouthpiece, which ran with a two-line front-page headline: PAN SUPPORTS SWINGERS!   For emphasis, they threw the strumpet's name up above the headline, and ran a large photo of her shameless face.  (The one on the right, not the half-naked chick in the gold lamé thong next to the Playboy bunny-logo.  That's Shakira.)

Zicky, the PdeA's house cartoonist, got in on the action, too! Yesterday, he ran some silly sketch of the armed police raid on Casa Swinger that rendered it as some weird leather-masked S&M club. (We believe the technical term for this is "projection.") Today, he just reprinted yesterday's effort, but with a drawing of the aforementioned legislator calling for tolerance, to the consternation of, well, someone. (Likenesses aren't Zick's strength.)

Not that it matters much, but there's a presidential election here in 39 days. Still, we'll bring you coverage of the coverage of los swingers until PdeA succeeds in its quest to, um... we're really not sure where they're going with this. But we're enjoying the ride.
UPDATE: From Plaza de Armas Editor-in-Chief and Son-of-the-Publisher Sergio Venegas Ramírez: "Our diligent chief of information has found another swingers club. We'll tell you about it tomorrow."

Sweet merciful Jesus.
