Great Moments In Urban Renewal

We sometimes joke that this town goes to hell in a handbasket if we turn our backs on it for a few days, but we were gone seven weeks, and have returned to a city transformed! Showing that he means to leave his mark on the city with one of the great public works projects of our age, Mayor Roberto Loyola has ordered boxy concrete planters plunked down in the middle of all the andadores in the centro historico - including this one right outside Burro Hall World Headquarters.

No, dear readers, this is not the Champs-Élysées

Just another reminder that when your mayor, your governor, and your president are all from the same party, shit gets done.
